The Survivor's Guide to Recovery from Rape or Sexual Abuse
The Survivor’s Guide has been written by RoSA volunteers to help anyone whose life has been affected by abuse issues – men and women, young and old. It features a collection of unique illustrations to portray the stories of survivors of rape or childhood sexual abuse and offers helpful and friendly advice that can be used in everyday situations.
Survivors are given the opportunity to work through the emotions that they feel and to go on to develop a wonderful vision for themselves of the person they want to be and the life they want to live – to go beyond surviving their life to celebrating it.
Funded purely by goodwill and donations, The Survivors guide is the result of an ambitious campaign by a team of volunteers at RoSA who were frustrated by the lack of easy to read self-help literature for abuse victims worldwide.
It was written and produced with the backing of professional women’s organisation, Soroptimist International of Rugby, UK, who fundraised tirelessly for a year to get the project off the ground.
